Thunderbolt/Savannah GA – Nov 1/09

We couldn’t leave today because the Marina still has a few repairs to make on the boat (the head needs to be replaced) which happens Monday. Tuesday we start the 500 mile journey to Fort Lauderdale.

The Marina is one of the biggest and best on the east coast as you can tell by the boats here for refit…….some of these are in the 20M range. (sick)

We spent some time hanging out in Savannah today on River Street….(the Old Cotton Market – see the pictures below). Check out the Green Fried Tomatoes.

When we got back, the sky was very promising….Red skies at night – sailor’s delight (still used today as a simple forecast). The pictures tell it all…..

P.S. We missed you today in our new location, btw.

Savannah is a beautiful and romantic place. Did you enjoy some fresh seafood on River Street? Any live music? I think the musical experience you will have on your trip could be extraordinary!

Can you tell I wish I were right beside you?
