Seemed appropriate to do a Sunday afternoon drive and poke around the countryside much like we do in Canada. I checked the map and picked a little community only a few km from our place. We were less than 20 km from Vista Atenas, but with gravel roads and a new vista around each corner, it took a couple of hours to do the trip. After, we went to our favourite restaurant, Casita del Cafe, which overlooks the valley. This was the first place we came to in Atenas last year and it still remains a favourite – always a warm, amazing breeze coming up from the ocean.

Dear Marg:
How exciting it was hearing your voice yesterday. We are so fortunate having you in our lives. Seems like your dreams of making a change in this world is happening.
Doug Chalk came by today and he is doing very well. He’s had his knee operation and all went very well. He walks like a young man now!
Merry Christmas to you both and we’ll keep in touch.
Francine
