Our friend Jeanette Klus invited us to join her on a trip to visit her friends in San Isidro (el General) which is about a 4 hour drive from Atenas. The town is situated in a high-plains valley in the beautiful Talamanca Mountain range near the Panama Border. How different this community is from Atenas!! Jeanette’s friend, Carol, grows black pepper, cinnamon, cacoa, and vanilla on her farm which she exports to Canada.
