We\u2019re pretty excited because we just finalized our trip to Costa Rica from December 9 to April 1. We\u2019ve rented a lovely house built by a Canadian lady who has been living there for almost twenty years. She lives in another home not too far from our property and will be a tremendous asset to us \u2013 linguistically and culturally. We have a great \u201cjungle view\u201d in the back by the pool and are only a 5 minute walk down to the ocean. We\u2019re in a community called Esterillos Oeste, about 20 minutes south of Jaco, on the Pacific coast. (pictures are on the way)<\/p>\n

We\u2019re both looking forward to working on some writing projects while we \u201cstay put\u201d and soak in the sun (we\u2019re ready for a Vitamin D overload!!). We keep hearing from others about the amazing beauty of Costa Rica \u2013 found in the jungle, the beaches, the exotic birds and animals, and the people!! We\u2019ll be celebrating Paul\u2019s 60th<\/sup><\/strong> birthday on December 23 \u2013 so we\u2019re going to start partying then and just keep on going til New Year\u2019s!! (just kidding) We\u2019re looking forward to meeting many new interesting people \u2013 just like we have on all of our other trips!!<\/p>\n

Paul will be posting some photographs and journal entries each week on this blog. Hope you can join us here and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica!<\/p>\n
